Maledicti Sunt - Beatitudes of the Damned

"Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Is just somebody's unholy hoax. And if you're up there you'd perceive. That my heart's here upon my sleeve. And if there's one thing I don't believe in. It's you." Lawless , Sydney Wayser “Dear God”

The Beatitudes are the words of the protagonist of the bible surrounding his followers. Similar to the Golden Rule (Do unto others as you would have done to you.), the Beatitudes talk about how Christians will be hated and reviled for their beliefs. Talks about how the pure of heart shall see god. See Matthew 5 for full details.

Jesus was putting prosecution on a pedestal and people have been polishing that prattle for too long. Similar to Least of My People, I wanted to write a more updated version, but from the perspective of a Satanist.

The root of the word Beatitudes come from the Beati Sunt, or "Blessed Are." In traditional representation of duality, we have the Maledicti Sunt or "Cursed Are." Here are my words:

Cursed are the poor on earth, for the Billionaires acquired Hope, LLC.

Cursed are they that mourn, for they shall have but three days leave.

Cursed are the meek, for they shall Meet Expectations.

Cursed are they which hunger and thirst, for they are not CIS straight white Christian men.

Cursed are the merciful, for they shall receive none in return.

Cursed are the pure in heart; for they shall die alone praying in a car surrounded by their dead family in the name of Israel.

Cursed are the peacemakers, for they shall be killed by cowards in masks.

Cursed are those who seek righteousness, because they didn’t obey & comply.

Cursed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, because you reject their ‘holy’ faith.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for better is one lifetime cursed by man than one eternity under the thumb of a tyrannical god.

Questions for Consideration

  • Are the Beatitudes actually comforting to the oppressed, or do they function as a way to romanticize suffering?
  • Who benefits when meekness, mourning, hunger, and persecution are framed as spiritually noble rather than socially intolerable?/li>
  • Does Christianity offer justice in the present world, or does it defer justice into eternity so believers will endure what they should resist?
